Three officials of a children's-clothing company were indicted and charged with one count of bank fraud and 65 counts of giving false statements to a bank in correlation with a loan, the U.S. Attorney's Office in Philadelphia said Friday. First Union Bank, later Wachovia Bank, HSBC Bank USA, National City Bank, and the former Fleet Bank were defrauded from 2001 to 2003 by officials of Kleinert's Inc. of Plymouth Meeting, Pa., and the prosecutor's office said, and finished up jointly losing about 35 million USD.
