Snellings is not a stranger to an eight-by-ten cell. He's been convicted of driving drunk seven times since 1982. Five years ago, Melvin Snellings was arrested and convicted of killing eight-year-old Zachary Butler in a DUI driving accident. A judge sentenced Snellings to 15 years, five years in prison and ten on probation. Snellings has been in the Chatham County jail since May 9 on new charges of DUI, driving with a suspended license, and violating his probation. Now it's up to a judge to decide his next punishment.
