Mother's Day Special
Two fifth-graders from Tall Oaks Classical School took top prizes in a statewide Mother's Day contest. Jessie Mitchell of Elkton, Md., won first place in the essay competition What My Mother Means to me, held by the nonprofit American Mothers Inc., whose mission is to strengthen the ethical and spiritual foundations of the family and home. Jessie's essay will be entered in a national contest. The runner-up was Nathan Foggy of Hockessin.
